Robotic PRK

Also known as STREAMLIGHT PRK or 100% Touchless Laser.

ALCON WAVELIGHT EX500 LASER brings in a unique method of doing PRK LASER.

In ROBOTIC PRK, Laser is used to remove the epitheliu and further power correction is done.
ROBOTIC PRK can be combined with contoura vision to give a very satisfying and sharp vision.

It is an OPD procedure The procedure takes about 15-20 mins only You will be administered anaesthesia eye drops.
An eyelid holder/speculum is used to hold you eyes open & prevent blinking.
The epithelium is removed by the specialist with the help of a blade, brush & alcohol solution.
A non-prescription, clear contact lens is placed on the eye that acts as a bandage.

After Surgery

Do not schedule any activity for that day. You need complete rest.
Follow your specialists post operative instructions.
Avoid strenuous physical activity and stay away from products that may irritate the eye.
Your doctor will prescribe eye drops to prevent infection and aid healing.
Wear sunglasses to prevent sun exposure that can scar the cornea after surgery.
You may experience mild eye pain for the first 24 to 36 hours and short-term blurred vision during the first week.
Follow the scheduled appointments with the specialist as instructed—it can take up to three months for vision to stabilize completely.
